Hennepin County finds temporary solution to reduce inmate population

Fox9 reports Hennepin County has moved hundreds of inmates to other jails following an order from the Minnesota Department of Corrections to reduce the inmate population. “Hennepin County now has contracts with seven other counties, but the price tag to house the overflow of inmates will cost taxpayers about $600,000 a month.”
